  • Directed the Racial and Economic Justice Initiative, a project that seeks to add economic and racial justice priorities to the agendas of mainstream gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender organizations and educate non gay groups working on race and poverty about the realities of their GLBT constituents.
  • Conducted outreach and consultation, and initiated research and policy collaborations with grassroots organizations advocating against racism and poverty and serving GLBT people of color and low-income people.
  • Identified and worked with social scientists, community based organizations, and governmental bodies to conduct collaborative research projects.
  • Wrote, edited and produced reports, policy analyses, briefing papers, op-ed pieces, fact sheets and other materials on issues of racial and economic justice in GLBT communities.
  • Oversaw the work of Research Fellows and Interns working on the Racial and Economic Justice Initiative.
  • Engaged in public speaking and workshop presentations at academic and
    community-based conferences.
